Beyoncé may end up being the highlight of today’s Netflix Christmas football extravaganza for viewers and the streaming company alike.
Netflix paid the NFL $150 million to broadcast today’s Chiefs-Steelers and Ravens-Texans games. That’s quite a payout for the NFL — and it’s unclear whether new subscriptions and the many ads the network is running will result in a return on investment.
But it may be a win for Netflix. After all, today’s broadcast isn’t only about football. None other than Beyoncé will be perform live on Netflix on Christmas Day.
Bey Day: What Time Is Beyoncé Performing?
The Houston-born diva will make a grand return home during halftime of the game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans.
That’s the second of two football games today on Netflix. It starts at 4:30 PM Eastern. That means halftime should place about an hour and a half later: roughly 6:00 PM Eastern. Now, if you’re just tuning in for Beyoncé, be sure to get your stream on a bit earlier than that.
Expect Beyoncé to perform “Texas Hold ‘Em” and other hit songs from her latest album, “Cowboy Carter.” She’s in Houston, after all.
