After last night’s shocking win by Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders over the top-seeded Detroit Lions, the NFL divisional round continues with two games today.
The Sunday football doubleheader begins with the Los Angeles Rams on the road taking on the Philadelphia Eagles. The Rams’ defense and Philadelphia snow could limit the Eagles’ offense.
The second of the two Sunday playoff games, between the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills, features one of the most anticipated quarterback matchups in recent memory: between Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.
Los Angeles Rams vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles came out with a win last week over the Green Bay Packers, but it wasn’t an impressive one. Perhaps the biggest takeaway of the game is that Philadelphia is a beatable team.
Hurts got off to a hot start with a touchdown pass in the opening drive only to be contained by the Packers’ defense to just 36 passing yards in the first half — and just 131 for the entire game.
This week, Hurts will have to contend with the Rams’ ferocious pass rush, which sacked the Minnesota Vikings’ Sam Darnold nine times on Monday.
It’s already begun snowing in Philadelphia — and that could limit the Eagles’ Saquon Barkley. The weather forecast calls for 3 to 6 inches of snow today, with heavy banding of snow expected during the game’s fourth quarter. It could be a messy end to the game.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Buffalo Bills
Allen and Jackson are explosive, dual-threat quarterbacks facing major leadership tests tonight. For Allen, regular season and early-round success has been a given, but a Super Bowl has been elusive.
Jackson has developed a reputation for underwhelming playoff performances over his career, but last week’s strong win over the Pittsburgh Steelers suggests that may be part of his past, especially with running back Derrick Henry taking the Ravens’ offense to new heights.
Significant snow is not in the forecast, but there might be flurries in the second half.
