The Minnesota Timberwolves host the Golden State Warriors tonight at Target Center, leading their Western Conference Semifinals series 3–1.
With a win, the Timberwolves can return to the Western Conference Finals for the second straight year.
The odds are in their favor as the Warriors will once again be without star guard Stephen Curry, who remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Minnesota has taken full control of the series, winning three straight games after dropping Game 1. Golden State has been competitive in every loss — until Anthony Edwards turns it up.
In Game 4, Edwards poured in 30 points, but Julius Randle led the way with 31. That’s been the story of this series — and Minnesota’s late regular-season success.
It hasn’t just been about Edwards, who’s averaging 27.5 points per game in the series. Julius Randle has been just as critical, delivering across the board with 23.3 points, 6.0 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game. His all-around impact has elevated the Timberwolves — and tonight, they’re poised to finish the job.
Without Curry, Golden State lacks a dynamic scoring tandem. They’re averaging just 99.8 points per game in the series. In Game 4, Jonathan Kuminga led the team with 23 points, while Jimmy Butler was held to 14.
With the season on the line, Golden State will need a breakout performance from Kuminga and Butler — and a defensive turnaround to extend the series until Curry’s return. It’s probably not going to happen.
Series Prediction: Timberwolves in five.
