The draw for the 2025 Mubadala Citi DC Open is now set, with a stacked field of top-ranked players preparing to battle in Washington, D.C.
Taylor Fritz, the World No. 4 and top men’s seed, and Jessica Pegula, a former DC champion and the top women’s seed, headline the tournament.
They’ll be joined by returning legend Venus Williams, who makes her long-awaited comeback to singles, along with a lineup featuring Grand Slam champions, big-serving threats, and rising stars as the U.S. hard-court season kicks into high gear.
Men’s DC Open Draw Highlights: Fritz, Medvedev Lead the Field
Fritz arrives in Washington fresh off a run to the Wimbledon semifinals, where he showcased his best Grand Slam form.
He enters the tournament with a first-round bye and could face Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in his opener, a possible rematch after Perricard’s 153 mph serves pushed Fritz to the brink at Wimbledon.
Other marquee names in the men’s field include Ben Shelton, Frances Tiafoe, Tommy Paul, Andrey Rublev, Holger Rune, Lorenzo Musetti, Alex de Minaur, Nick Kyrgios, and 2021 U.S. Open champion Daniil Medvedev, giving Washington one of its deepest lineups in years.
Beyond the singles field, the doubles draw adds another layer of intrigue, featuring high‑profile pairings and returning fan favorites.
Kyrgios returns to DC with a bang, teaming up with fan‑favorite Gaël Monfils for an entertaining doubles duo that promises flair and unpredictability.
All‑American pair Tiafoe and Shelton — both explosive singles players — will bring their power game to the men’s doubles draw.
Women’s DC Open Draw Highlights: Pegula, Williams Anchor Star-Studded Lineup
Pegula, a 2019 DC champion, leads the women’s draw alongside fellow seeds Emma Navarro, Elena Rybakina, Clara Tauson, Magdalena Fręch, Sofia Kenin, and Marta Kostyuk.
Amanda Anisimova, fresh off her Wimbledon runner-up finish, returns to D.C. as one of the top names to watch and is joined by fellow American standout Danielle Collins.
Pegula enters the DC Open after a quarterfinal appearance at Wimbledon, reinforcing her consistency on grass ahead of the U.S. hard-court swing.
Adding to the star power, Williams returns after a 16-month layoff and opens against Peyton Stearns on Monday, while Emma Raducanu and Naomi Osaka look to sharpen their form ahead of the U.S. Open.
The women’s doubles field also carries plenty of star power, with returning legends and surprise partnerships adding to the buzz in Washington.
Williams will also be on court in doubles, partnering Hailey Baptiste as she makes her return to competitive tennis.
Raducanu is set to team up with Wimbledon champion Rybakina for a fresh doubles pairing that drew praise from Kyrgios.
