The 2025 Mubadala Citi DC Open kicks off main-draw play on Monday, July 21, with a packed schedule featuring returning legend Venus Williams and top American stars Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe.
Nick Kyrgios and Emma Raducanu also headline Monday’s action, and all five players are making their DC Open debuts in the doubles tournament.

Venus Williams Returns in Doubles
While her singles opener is slated for later this week, Williams will make her 2025 DC Open debut on Monday in doubles. Williams and Hailey Baptiste face Eugenie Bouchard and Clervie Ngounoue on John Harris Court, not before 5:00 PM.
This will be Williams’s first competitive appearance at the DC Open since 2022, as she builds match rhythm ahead of her highly anticipated singles return.
Shelton and Tiafoe Team Up
American stars Shelton and Tiafoe will team up in doubles to face Matthew Ebden and John Peers. Their first-round match is the final contest on Stadium Court, following the evening session match between Maria Sakkari (WC) and Katie Boulter (set for not before 6:00 PM).
Shelton arrives in Washington after a Wimbledon quarterfinal run, while Tiafoe, a 2024 DC Open semifinalist, looks to make an early impact in front of his home fans.
Danielle Collins Begins Singles Campaign
Collins opens her singles draw against Magda Linette (8) on John Harris Court, playing the final match of the day after the doubles featuring Williams/Baptiste and the evening singles match between Yoshihito Nishioka and Jenson Brooksby (PR).
