The Green Bay Packers head to Lucas Oil Stadium today to take on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2 of the 2025 preseason.
Green Bay remains without Jordan Love, who just had thumb ligament surgery on his non-throwing hand. He’s expected to return in time for Week 1 of the regular season.
As for today, backups Malik Willis, Sean Clifford, and Taylor Elgersma are expected to take the field and showcase their progress.
The Colts will start Daniel Jones, with Anthony Richardson Sr. handling the bulk of first-half reps. But the quarterback competition remains wide open, and head coach Shane Steichen hopes to identify a clear frontrunner “sooner rather than later.”
4 Things to Watch
Packers’ QB depth play — With Love sidelined, can Willis, Clifford, or rookie Elgersma step into a lead backup role?
Colts’ QB battle — How will Jones and Richardson perform under live-game pressure, and can one separate himself before the regular season?
Indy’s defense momentum — After dominating joint practices, can Colts defenders translate that performance into game-day disruption?
Packers’ receiving corps — With several wideouts injured, who steps up to fill the gaps in Green Bay’s passing game?
