Both Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump have packed schedules on the final day of campaigning before Election Day tomorrow.
Harris will spend all of Monday in Pennsylvania, where she and Trump are effectively tied, according to FiveThirtyEight’s average of polls. The presidential race could go down to who wins the state’s 19 electoral votes.
Trump will make two stops in Pennsylvania, but his schedule also includes visits to two other battleground states: Michigan and North Carolina.
Trump is up by 1.1 points in North Carolina, and Harris is ahead by a single digit in Michigan, according to FiveThirtyEight.
Harris Makes Final Push for Pennsylvania’s Puerto Rican Vote
Harris’s Monday will begin with a rally in Scranton, PA, followed by visits to Allentown and Reading, both of which are home to large Puerto Rican populations. The Harris campaign has made a concerted effort to leverage the insults directed at Puerto Ricans at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally last month. Puerto Rican and other Hispanic celebrities, including Jennifer Lopez and Cardi B, have joined Harris on the campaign trail since the hate-filled rally.
In Allentown, Harris will pair up with Fat Joe, the Bronx-born Puerto Rican rapper. From there, she will head to the nearby city of Reading, where she’ll campaign with another famous Puerto Rican: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
The vice president will end her final day of campaigning with two star-studded rallies. In Pittsburgh, she’ll be joined by pop star Katy Perry. She will conclude her public schedule with a mega event in Philadelphia, where she’ll be joined by Lady Gaga, Oprah Winfrey, as well as Philly’s own DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Roots. Also joining Harris in Philadelphia: another famous Puerto Rican musician, Ricky Martin.
The vice president will head back to Washington at the end of the day, where she’ll spend election night at Howard University. Harris is an alumnus of the historically black university and would become the first black woman president in U.S. history if she wins.
Trump Sprints Across ‘Blue Wall’
Trump’s public schedule is far less star-studded, but the 78-year-old was off to an early start with a morning rally in Raleigh, North Carolina. In the afternoon, he’ll sprint to Pennsylvania with rallies in Reading and Pittsburgh. He’ll conclude his day with an event in Grand Rapids, MI. At night, the former president will return home to his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.
