The Newport Jazz Festival returns to Fort Adams State Park from Friday, August 1 through Sunday, August 3, 2025, with a sold-out weekend featuring headliners The Roots, Janelle Monáe, Jacob Collier, Esperanza Spalding, and De La Soul.
The legendary Rhode Island festival is set to bring together some of the biggest names in jazz, soul, funk, and beyond for three days of music by the water.
The 2025 lineup blends classic and contemporary jazz with a wide range of crossover sounds — from the genre-bending hip-hop of The Roots and the futuristic funk of Flying Lotus to the powerhouse vocals of Cécile McLorin Salvant and the adventurous improvisation of Christian McBride Big Band.
Expect collaborative sets, guest appearances, and tributes that make Newport Jazz a one-of-a-kind festival experience.
With its historic waterfront setting and diverse programming, Newport Jazz continues its reputation as one of America’s premier music festivals — a destination for both purists and fans of jazz-infused genres.
We’ve got the full lineup and schedule below.
