(3) Iowa State takes on (6) Ole Miss tonight as the NCAA Tournament’s Round of 32 comes to a close.
This one could go either way. While the Cyclones are the higher seed, they’ll be without star guard Keshon Gilbert, who is sidelined with a groin injury — a loss that could tilt the edge toward the Rebels.
In Gilbert’s absence, sophomore guard Milan Momcilovic has stepped up, averaging 19 points over the past two games. Senior Curtis Jones has been even hotter, putting up 24 points per game during that stretch.
Ole Miss will counter with seniors Sean Pedulla and Dre Davis, who led the charge in Friday’s win over UNC. If the Rebels are going to pull off the upset, they’ll need those two to show up big once again tonight.
