The 2025 Ryder Cup is less than three weeks away. From September 26–28, the entire world of golf will have its eyes on Bethpage Black in Farmingdale — located just about 40 miles east of Manhattan in New York’s Long Island.
Bethpage Black is no stranger to golf’s biggest tournaments. It has hosted the U.S. Open in 2002 and 2009, and the PGA Championship in 2019. But this will be the first time the Ryder Cup has ever been played on Long Island — and only the second time it’s been held in New York.
Leading Team USA will be Keegan Bradley, who was selected as captain after Tiger Woods declined the role. Bradley is no stranger to Bethpage Black, having played there not just as a pro, but also while attending St. John’s University in Queens, where he often made the short trip to tackle the course’s famously brutal layout with his teammates.
Across the Atlantic, Team Europe will be led again by Luke Donald, who guided his side to victory in 2023. Donald has built a trusted vice-captain team that now includes Alex Norén, alongside legends like José María Olazábal and Thomas Bjør.
The stage is set for a fiery rematch. The U.S. wants redemption after falling in Rome two years ago, while Europe looks to defend its title in front of one of the most passionate — and loud — crowds in golf. This is New York, after all.
