(4) Texas A&M takes on (5) Michigan in the third of today’s NCAA Tournament second-round games.
This one is expected to be closely fought, but the Aggies come in with the edge and are favored to advance to the Sweet 16, where they’ll face the winner of the (1) Auburn vs. (9) Creighton game later today.
To get there, Texas A&M will need a strong performance from senior Wade Taylor IV, who has led the team all year. Their first-round win over Yale was sparked by a standout showing off the bench from junior Pharrel Payne — and he may need to deliver again today.
Michigan, meanwhile, barely scraped by UC San Diego on Thursday. Center Danny Wolf had an off game, and the Wolverines will need him to bounce back if they hope to keep dancing.
